So the skate 2 demo dropped yesterday. I may or may-not have taken an hour long lunch break to go home and download it.



Also, you can skate in vans eras. So dope.

Sk8 Mafia | Best of 2008

This video kind of took me by surprise. Im not heavy into the Sk8 Mafia saturdays, but they do remind me of what skating should be. Fun. Yeah lame right? Kinda throws it back to the old Sauga park days when we would just bust out the cam and filmed whatever happend. None the less, this video has alot of good skating in it to. Jamie Palmores section kills it. Tyler Surrey, Gray Brothers and Kellen James all have good shit too. Little dissapointed on the lacking Wes Kremer footage though. Dude kills it.

2000 | Nine

So here we go. Another year. Another Blog. Yeah yeah yeah. Maybe this time I will ACUTALLY post. Its on my "list" of things to do along with: Shoot Photos, Skate, Film skating, Have Fun, Party with Friends, Travel and Have something to show for in 2009.

So I guess it was Mark P. who came across this gem. Almost like a time warp. Back in the prime King Boardshop days, we used to travel around to wierd little skate contests and games of skate. Since John and I really cant skate anything other than flat land, it was perfect, and when we heard about a one-thousand dollar winner take all game of skate, we were all over it. The fact that it was way the hell in Midland didnt really matter, cause we were pumped on redbull, and flatland.



The video speaks for itself. Basically, John made it to the finals, and got beat out by a kid doing basic tricks. $1000 for him. John Gets Nothing. Classic.

LaBella Gets Old

On this very day, twenty three years ago, one very special human burst through a thin layer of placenta and hasn't looked back since! Now, as a grown ass man, John Carmine Labella, we get to the chance to celebrate his gloriousness and reflect on some moments of days past. Happy Michael Jordan Buddy!

With Adam jetting off to BC I figured it was a perfect time to start the blog back up. WESTmetroPRODUCTIONS had a very short lived home on FaceBook, but that proved to be quite difficult and annoying. Stay tunned for weekly updates and new-old footage drops.

Spring Cleaning

The other night, I was just doing a little spring time cleaning on my hard drives and coming across some aweeeesome shit! Tonnes of old MSN recived files, and photos of just stupid shit. Nothing tops the videos though, just a whole mess of quicktimes and wmv's from a not so distant past!



Once upon a time, I used to be good at skateboarding.



Phil still rules. This was before LaBella and I rode for King Boardshop, and we were actually riding for Full Tilt's B-Team for this competition, which was totally a bust, cause they ened up winning the contest, and we never got PAID! hahaha, whatever, Shit was still fun, plus the King Boardshop scouts were out in full effect, and were quick to scoop us up after our one day contracts with FT were up.

Milton Park vs. The Rail

These past few weekends have been a Blast! Milton has been reppin hard, and skating even harder... and I guess, Drinking, even harder? Ohhhhhhhhhhh Yeah. Well, back to the skating, and this time, to the rail park. It was my first time out, and I was amazed to see how we got the place to ourselves. We got down to business and ripped hard. Who didnt come away with hella flat spots? Needles to say, the flat bar got a solid beating from one Jonathan Condren, and no quarter pipe was safe from Jays wrath of gnar. Cseff was out in full force and looks like hes been sleeping under a bridge for the past 3 months! There can never be enough power-slides when the Labellas are around, and this night was noooooooooo exception. Thanks to everyone for such a rad sesh, and a super huge awesome shout out to Kev for the hot rides. Pizza's on me next time!
